MELISSA TAN

I graduated with a degree in Integrated Engineering (http://www.igen.ubc.ca) and my career search has taken me to Toronto. I focused in the areas of signals & systems (electrical engineering) and material science and ended up working in the telecommunications industry. Looking back, it was probably where I was meant to be before I started university.

AOE has been a lot of fun. It's not a choice that I regret and would choose it again. Surprisingly even being this far away from home (Vancouver, BC), I have two of my sisters who currently have ties to Toronto (Des Bowes and Kate Bisnaire).

Things I like to do include my computer, friends and drinks on a patio, and the great outdoors. If I could in Toronto, I would continue to scuba dive, climb mountains, and mountain bike... But it's a little harder to do here (not impossible). So I try and keep up some of my other things like paddling (kayak, canoe), and running.
