The first annual female relatives brunch!

In AOE we are all sisters, and yet many of us have yet to meet some of our sisters' important family members. With this in mind, a new idea was born: The Female Relative Brunch. The members of our chapter each invited one or more female relatives to brunch on Sunday morning at the Shaughnessey Restaurant, in the middle of the beautiful Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. We saw sisters, mothers, aunts, mothers of fiances and mothers of boyfriends. Despite the dreary rainy day, our group of 30 had a delicious brunch filled with lively conversation. The mothers there especially enjoyed teasing us in front of everyone and discussing our "shortcomings" with the other mothers. =) Since both parties of our home and school lives have heard so much about each other, this event allowed them to finally meet and become acquainted. It was a great success and we look forward to repeating it next year!
